This book presents an interesting overview of history and lore pertaining to the survival of pagan elements. Great photos and drawings.

This book presents information related to horned gods and entities. It is full of fascinating lore that extends to other related areas. Great illustrations. A must read for modern Pagans, Wiccans, and Witches.

Author: Charles Hardwick (Simpkin, Marshall & Co., 1872).
This book covers a wide variety of topics related to parts of England. Topics include such celebrations as Yule, May Day and others. Also included is lore on fairies, spirits, and other beings.

Magic and Husbandry, The Folklore of Agriculture
Author: Lewis Burdick (The Otseningo Publishing Co., 1905).
This book contains a great deal of lore related to agricultural themes. Among the topics are plowing, planting, and harvesting. Also included is some lore related to birds and insects along with material on healing.

History and Chronology of the Myth-making Age
Author: J.F. Hewitt (J. Parker and Co., 1901).
This book presents some very interesting lore related to the “Year God” mythos. Also discusses the ages of Solar and Lunar worship. The material goes well with themes in modern Wicca and Paganism.

Author: Colonel J. Garnier (Chapman & Hall, Limited., 1904).
This is a book about ancestral veneration that extends well beyond the subject to include other topics. Among them is the Great Goddess, serpent worship, astronomical cults, pagan gods, and biblical references.

This book contains a huge and amazing collection of lore about trees, plants, flowers, and related topics. Great 19th century illustrations.

The Evil Eye

Author: Frank J. Mather JR. (The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine, vol. IXXX, 1910).
This is a very interesting article on the lore of the evil eye in Italy. Some great illustrations including an old cimaruta.
