The IT team continues the investigation at the residence and offices of actor Sonu Sood in Mumbai


Income tax officers arrived at Sonu Sood’s residence in Mumbai on Thursday morning, a day after inspecting at least six properties in Mumbai and Lucknow, all linked to the Bollywood actor.

The visit by IT officials, which was not classified as a raid, was linked to an investigation into suspected tax evasion, according to the PTI news agency. A real estate transaction is also under the scanner of the income tax department.

Sood got into trouble with the law earlier this year when the BMC filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of turning a six-story residential building in Juhu into a hotel without the required permissions. Sonu Sood had filed a complaint against BMC’s opinion on the alleged illegal construction. When the Bombay High Court rejected Sonu Sood’s appeal, he had moved the Supreme Court.

The actor recently became the brand ambassador for the Delhi government mentorship program for school students. Sonu Sood reportedly refused to answer questions after the meeting about the possibility of joining politics, especially the ruling Aam Aadmi (AAP) party in Delhi.

However, in another interview, the actor had clarified that the reports put forward in a section of the media on his political ambitions were “false and without foundation”. Party.
